The Benefits of Honey For Fungating Cancer Wounds

The Benefits of Honey For Fungating Cancer Wounds

Cancer is a debilitating illness, and its effects can last even after its successful treatment. Ulcerating cancer, often called “fungating cancer,” results from the cancerous growth breaking through the skin, resulting in wounds. As these wounds grow, they may block and damage blood vessels, resulting in reducing or losing oxygen supply to that area. These wounds bleed, are painful, and cause embarrassment due to their unpleasant odor, which can further propagate the cycle of isolation and depression.

Honey Vs. Fungating Cancer Wounds

At Budwig Center, we have always advocated using honey in one’s diet for its numerous benefits. However, their benefits are not limited to oral consumption and extend to tropical application. MEDIHONEY® dressing[i], an antibacterial dressing has been proven to be effective in the management and treatment of these wounds and in even eliminating the bad odor right away.

According to research conducted by the medical investigator, Debbie Segovia, the daily application of MEDIHONEY dressing upon cleaning the wound site resulted in rapid improvement of the appearance of the wound, and the unpleasant odor was gone right away. Raw, Organic Honey

Before we finish, we must clarify that when we say “honey,” we refer to the raw, organic, and unpasteurized honey, not the heavily processed kind popular in many supermarkets.
