October, 1 sees the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For a whole 31 days, cancer charities, breast cancer patients, and loved ones will work tirelessly to raise awareness of the disease, which affects 1.38 million every year. Breast Cancer Awareness Month plays a critical role in promoting early detection, which has been proven to reduce deaths related to the illness. However, Breast Cancer Awareness Month hopes to achieve more. The campaign also aims to increase awareness of the types of natural treatments that are available to treat the disease in an integrative way.
The Power of Tea
Natural treatments are slowly becoming more popular and are a viable treatment choice when followed correctly. A study published in the journal, Anticancer Research, tested the effects of oolong tea, a traditional Chinese tea, on four types of breast cancer cells, including ER-positive, PR-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative. The researchers concluded that oolong tea has “great potential as a chemopreventive agent against breast cancer.”
At present, oolong tea and green tea are seen by some as adjunctive treatments used to complement primary treatment. However, researchers gradually recognize that green tea, in particular, could be given as part of a treatment plan to breast cancer patients. So it could soon be paired with thermography and similar treatments. To date, studies have focused on the benefits of pairing green tea with traditional cancer drugs. Breast Cancer Awareness Month aims to improve the knowledge of both the community as a whole as well as scientists. Thus it is hoped that scientists will take this opportunity to explore the benefits of pairing green tea with other natural substances. This initiative will help to create a natural treatment for women with breast cancer who wish to avoid drugs. For example, cinnamon has beneficial properties, and coconut oil can boost the quality of life of breast cancer patients, according to two separate studies. So, combining these ingredients with green tea can make a wholesome drink that could be drunk as a remedy for the integrative treatment of breast cancer. You could even add some nutritious fruits and vegetables to enhance the flavor of a healthy smoothie packed full of antioxidants. Regular consumption of smoothies like this can form part of a healthy lifestyle, and even aid weight loss, which is crucial when treating breast cancer.
How Breast Cancer Awareness Month Can Enlighten Individuals
One of the objectives of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to improve diagnosis times of breast cancer in low and middle-income countries. In doing so, diagnoses are more likely to occur at stage 0 or 1, which are classed as ‘non-invasive’ and ‘highly treatable.’ Thus, the earlier the diagnosis, it is likely that more will take advantage of the many natural and non-invasive methods available.
Thermography Detects Breast Cancer Before A Mammography
This device detects inflammation, angiogenesis, and other circulatory disorders as well as neurological conditions. It has been especially useful for early breast cancer detection. This test is non-invasive and has no radiation, so it is risk-free.

Will thermography detect prostate cancer and other cancers?
Hello Roger, because thermography detects abnormal activity in lymph, circulatory and overall body temperature, it can detect many health problems related to inflammation. Cancer is certainly related to inflammation and although the radiologist interpreting the images can suggest there is cancer, the thermography isn’t considered a medical conclusive test to diagnose cancer. So if there is a suspicion of cancer from doing a thermography, conclusive tests will be recommended (blood tests, MRI or other imaging that shows structure). Meanwhile, if one wants to see what is happening in their body, systemically, without having to receive radiation, this test is ideal. If one wants information either preventatively or to monitor their progress, this test is also ideal.
