The choice of treatment is a personal decision that each person needs to make. At the Budwig Center, we respect each person’s choice.
Our program can help remove the residual chemical toxins from the body and reduce common side effects from chemotherapy and also rebuild the immune system.
8 Ways to Detox Chemotherapy
Broccoli Sprouts
Sulforaphane as found in abundance in Broccoli sprouts is an excellent immune boosting food. You can consume broccoli as is or even better in the form of broccoli sprouts or in the form of a supplement. [1]
Transfer Factors
When humans and other mammals are born, the first nourishment that the mother breast feeds the new-born is not milk but a clear liquid called Colostrum. Transfer Factors are derived from this Colostrum.
Transfer Factors are powerful immune system activators that have the ability to boost the immune system in an entirely different way. They strengthen an underachieving immune system or bring the overactive immune system into balance.
Transfer Factor molecules are extracted from bovine colostrum and chicken egg yolk sources. These molecules contain antigen information which educates, enhances, and helps maintain immune system balance.
Transfer Factors, The Missing Link?
Joe Ramaekers, DVM said: “This is truly the missing link in the nutritional approach to preventive medicine”. We all know that our immune system is a miracle system; however it still takes time to react to viruses, bacteria, and abnormal cell mutations. What if we could speed up that process?
That is what Transfer Factors do. They help our body to be able to immediately recognize and attack invading microorganisms so that we avoid many common illnesses.
Chlorella and Wheat Grass
In addition to the toxins left in the body from chemotherapy, there are now over 84,000 chemicals being used in daily foods and products annually. According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG) the average US woman uses 12 personal care products and/or cosmetics a day, containing 168 different chemicals. This is particularly shocking when you keep in mind that almost 13,000 chemicals are used in cosmetics alone, and only about 10% have been evaluated for safety.
Therefore we all need to supplement our diet with Chlorella. It’s a powerful detoxifying green algae that’s remained virtually unchanged over 2 billion years.
It provides precious beneficial nutrients and contains more chlorophyll than any other plant! Its special detoxification properties allow it to bind to nasties such as heavy metals, pesticide residues and other harmful chemicals to carry them out of your body. [3]
Wheat Grass is also an excellent detox food that can be added to smoothies and juices.
Curcumin
Hyperthermia
According to research done by Dr. Nobuhiro Yoshimizu, author of the book The Fourth Treatment for Medical Refugees, raising your body temp by just one degree can boost your immune system by 40%.
Hyperthermia artificially creates heat and thus initiates a fever-like state, causing an intense, sustained elevation in core body temperature. This enhances the immune system.
Modern hyperthermia has been around for more than 100 years starting in the 1900s. This is when the American physician, Dr. William Coley, began using fever-causing agents with considerable success.
In 1927, Julius Wagner-Jauregg received the Nobel Prize in medicine for work involving the therapeutic application of hyperthermia. In July 2013, The Lancet Oncology published an article on the beneficial effects of hyperthermia (heat therapy).
A team of clinicians headed by Rüdiger Wessalowski, MD of the University of Düsseldorf, showed that conventional treatment. Which, included deep-tissue heating produced better results than generally achieved with surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy alone [4].
Hydrogen Inhalation Therapy
Hydrogen anti-oxidation is much more powerful than common antioxidants such as vitamin C, carrot, lecithin etc. 200ml hydrogen Water has same antioxidant level as 100 fresh lemons. The molecular hydrogen is the lightest molecule in the universe.
For reference, vitamin C (176.2 g/mole) weighs 88 times more than hydrogen gas (2 g/mole). Therefore, hydrogen water at a concentration of 1.6 mg/L would have more “antioxidant” molecules than 100 mg of vitamin C. Because there are more total molecules in 1.6 mg of hydrogen compared 100 mg of vitamin C. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, constituting nearly 75% of the universe’s mass. [5]
Because hydrogen is so small it can diffuse freely across these membranes, even the blood-brain barrier.
Also, this is so important because it’s INSIDE the cell where hydrogen performs its magic.
AHCC Mushroom Extract
AHCC is especially recommended for chemotherapy patients and is to be included in daily diet. Chemotherapy is very aggressive on the body and amongst other effects, significantly runs down the immune system. We rely on the help of these types of compounds to strengthen our immune system in order to better assimilate chemotherapy whilst also reducing the adverse effects to our body.
Astragalus
(Astragalus membranaceous) – Reduces side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. Astragalus membranaceous is another natural product. This natural supplement is outstanding for the following reasons:
- Stimulates the immune system.
- Benefits liver function. It can also be used on Hepatitis patients
AHCC is an immuno-stimulant nutritional supplement used worldwide, with very positive results.
