Benefits of Natural Medicine With Patients Receiving Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy

When a cancer patient is having or has had chemotherapy and/or radiation, it is normal to ask themselves is there is any benefit to including natural medicine and therapies in their treatment plan. When we understand what chemotherapy is doing to our body and the benefits of natural medicine, it makes it easier to find the solutions that will greatly reduce the harsh side effects of chemotherapy and even repair these imbalances caused in the body.

How does it affect our circulatory and immune system? (1)

Chemotherapy can harm the bone marrow. Without enough red blood cells to carry oxygen we may experience anemia. Without enough white blood cells, our defenses are lowered making it harder to fight infection and any virus or pathogen we come in contact with.

Budwig Center’s solution:

Natural medicine: remedies like liquid chlorophyll which is the closed thing to human blood and excellent for increasing red blood cells to avoid anemia and others with active ingredients including propolis, bovine colostrum (transfer factors), ginseng, Hawthorn as well as medicinal mushroom extracts and much more.

Full Body Hyperthermia means that the body’s temperature is raised and this causes the immune system to respond better to unhealthy cells.
Homeopathic formulas that will help repair the immune system. These formulas contain antigen information which educates, enhances, and helps maintain immune system balance.

How does it affect the hormonal system?

Chemotherapy can alter the hormones of both men and women, interfering in their sex drive, leaving one anxious and with a higher risk of infection (vaginal or of the urinary tract).

Budwig Center’s solution:

With the help of the Vega test and GSR scan, we can determine the cause of hormonal imbalance as well as the best natural medicine made of herbs and mushrooms such as Curcuma zedoaria, Cyperus rotundus, Astragalus membranaceus, Agnus Castus, Maca etc

How does it affect the digestive system?

If the cells of the gastrointestinal tract are harmed, nausea, vomiting and unpleasant sensations in the mouth become common. Loss of appetite and weakness follow.

Budwig Center’s solution:

First, we need to provide a personalized food chart which is done with a test to see which foods you now have an intolerance to and which foods will be highly beneficial for you. Also, we encourage and provide fresh juices and shakes as well as steamed foods which are easiest to digest, high in magnesium, calcium, and sulforaphane.

We have mushroom compounds that are made a hybrid of the Shiitake and other medicinal mushrooms are known for their nutritional composition and bioactive compounds. Not only are they rich in vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, enzymes or fiber, but they also have health-active substances such as antioxidants, statins, polysaccharides (α-glucans and β-glucans)

How does it affect the excretory system?

The kidneys, being one of the body’s main filters, are certainly taxed by the toxins in chemotherapy treatments, as will be the lymphatic system or liver, depending on the type of treatment received.

Budwig Center’s solution:

Natural remedies with active ingredients including probiotics, herbal teas, and algae formulas are provided.
Detox therapies like colonic irrigation and Far infrared saunas.
IVs with homeopathic solutions that help the lymph, liver and kidneys drain

How does it affect the nervous system and the patient’s emotions?

When the nervous system is impaired this affects one’s balance, coordination, and memory causing brain fog. If this persists it is normal to feel anxiety and frustration. It also causes the numbness or tingling in one’s fingers and toes. Radiation can leave the skin damaged and/or scarred. Just finding out that one has such a serious diagnosis and will have to receive aggressive treatment often brings up negative emotions. To add to that, many cancer patients tell us that they consequently feel very lonely because social life is not the same for them anymore. They are often pitied or even excluded.

Budwig Center’s solution:

We have organic creams with active ingredients including medicinal mushrooms specifically formulated to treat the tingling in patients’ hands and feet after chemo as well as treat the skin to reduce the toxicity before, during and after radiation.

Different therapies work for different people so at Budwig Center we offer Perception Reframing, EFT, Emotional Biomagnetic pair sessions, acupuncture and Bio energetic restoration.

Omega-3 fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain and appear to be important for cognitive (brain memory and performance) and behavioral function. This makes the Budwig mix of flaxseed oil and cottage cheese an ideal food to consume when wanting to combat this brain fog.

Although we have separated the information in categories, our bodies work as a whole unit and when our nervous system is working properly and our emotions are balanced, this actually strengthens the immune system as well as the digestive system! So it is important that we take care of our body as a whole to stay as strong as possible when undergoing any type of aggressive treatment.

  1. I do not have cancer but have immune deficiency and leaky gut and arthritis. I am hoping to help if not solve these problems. Also I have some other health problems.if I only solve one problem I will be on the right road.
