Thermography

How Thermography Works

Infrared thermography converts infrared energy (radiant heat) into an image that can be seen. The use of infrared digital imaging is based on the principle that metabolic activity and vascular circulation in precancerous tissues and developing cancer areas are almost always higher than in normal tissues. The results can be correct 8–10 years before a mammogram can detect a mass in the body of the patient.

When Would a Thermography Test be a Viable Option?

Although this type of imaging doesn’t determine where there are growths and masses, it does detect the temperature of the skin surface. The skin temperature can indicate changes in underlying pathology, unhealthy lymphatic and circulatory activity. Inflammation in either of these systems comes before a mass forms. It will vary depending on the body’s reaction to treatment.

So we would recommend it in the following cases:

  • To monitor or detect the risk of Lymphomas, breast tumors, thyroid imbalances.
  • To identify areas of inflammation.
  • To establish risk and monitoring of abnormal physiology

This includes abnormal vascular and neurological conditions related to breast disease, pain, sports injuries, and many more symptoms which can be difficult to assess

Medical Infrared Thermography is 100% risk-free (including radiation-free), non-invasive, pain-free, non-contact, and can visualize areas where disease or disorder occurs.

Thermography Early Breast Cancer Detection

The sooner cancer is detected, the better chance we have of reversing it using the Budwig diet and protocol. In fact, it is estimated that up to 95% of breast cancer cases could be successfully treated when found in their earlier stages.

For various reasons, women are looking for a viable alternative to mammograms, and thus thermography is becoming very popular. It only takes about 15 minutes, and there is no radiation, painful compression, and no physical contact involved in the test. And because doctors don’t typically order mammograms for women under the age of 40 (especially if they have no family history of cancer) many women find out only when the cancer is fairly advanced.

In conjunction with thermography, we use our GSR testing system at our cancer clinic, which provides us with several parameters to determine cancerous activity.

Thermography at The Budwig Center

At Budwig Center, we use thermography equipment to evaluate the area and levels of inflammation in any part of the body of our patients. Additionally, thermography imaging detects fibrocystic conditions, infections, allergies, and even cardiovascular diseases that affect the arteries.

We use this equipment because it is considered a state-of-the-art and potentially lifesaving method of detecting inflammation even before cancer can be diagnosed. Even though thermography is not considered a medical diagnostic method, and there is some controversy surrounding this test, the technology used to perform thermograms is considered by many experts to be one of the most reliable for risk assessment and detection.

In fact, the Breast Thermography website calls the thermography procedure “one of the most important adjunctive breast imaging procedures available today.”
